Junior's Cricket
The overall objective of Walsall Cricket Club junior programmes to provide a fun, safe and inclusive cricketing environment where young players of all abilities can develop their skills, confidence and love for the game, through high‑quality coaching, age‑appropriate matchplay opportunities and positive role modelling — supporting every person to reach their personal potential and fostering a lifelong connection to the game and Walsall Cricket Club.
The Club actively encourages young people to develop their cricket skills under the guidance of our Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 cricket coaches, in a safe and friendly environment. If deemed ready we can offer your child competitive league games against other cricket clubs, at:
U9 – weekend festivals through the year,
U10 – Sunday mornings,
U11 – Thursday evenings,
U13 – Wednesday evenings,
U15 – Tuesday evenings,
U17’s – when fixtures are arranged,
Plus a girl’s U12’s and U15’s team generally on Sunday mornings.

A message from Paul Wicker our Head of Junior cricket ahead of the new
Welcome to the Walsall! We are a very inclusive cub and will try to provide a range of ability appropriate cricket opportunities for all children where possible. From those new to the game to the 13 club juniors in junior county programmes we want all of our young cricketers to learn to enjoy the game, to reach their personal potential and develop a love for the game which will stay with them forever. To do this any parental volunteer support is always most welcomed so more children can hit more balls and catch more catches! With juniors training expected to be busier than ever, we look forward to a really positive junior season, to make this season one to remember for all our players!
